  1. The following policy statement outlines how VDC collects, holds, uses, discloses and safeguards your personal information.

  2. This policy defines our commitment to protecting the privacy of our Club members.

  3. VDC is committed to complying with the Privacy Act 1988.

  4. The Membership Directory is only distributed to full, associate and life members of VDC. The information will be kept confidential to VDC and at no time will this information be sold, traded, swapped or exchanged to any third party or company.

  5. The club issues an annual membership renewal form to ensure that member information is accurate and kept up to date and requests that members advise the Club Membership Officer of any change to their contact information and of any change to their car ownership details.

  6. The information is stored on the VDC database held by a secure third party contracted to VDC. Individual members’ information is available to Executive Committee members and Club officers authorised by the Executive Committee for the purposes of administering VDC.

  7. Account details of credit card payments will be redacted from relevant documents received by the Vintage Drivers’ Club prior to secure storage at the Club premises.

  8. VDC may, as permitted by the Privacy Act 1988, disclose member information where it is necessary in an emergency or where VDC is required or authorised by law (for example legislation or a legal order) to disclose it.

  9. Members may contact VDC Membership Officer at any time to request details of their personal information VDC hold about them or if they wish to change or correct it. This can be done by sending an email to VDC, membership@vdc.org.au, or by writing to VDC Membership Officer.
