Vintage Drivers Club

In 1964 the meeting was moved to a church hall in Hawthorn and in October 1964 the VDC was granted authority to administer limited registration (The red plate scheme). The membership grew to 500 in 1967, and monthly meetings were moved to Canterbury Girls High School in 1968. In 1969 the VDC rented a small double storey building in Church Street, Richmond for Club Spares upstairs and One Make Group meetings downstairs. The Dodge Chrysler Group was the first of the One Make groups.
